Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to finalize the new SME policy to provide incentives and facilities to small business owners under the government's Ease of Business Policy.
Chairing a review meeting on the promotion of small and medium businesses, in Islamabad on Monday, the Prime Minister said small industries have been neglected in the past while our government is focused on providing facilities to them.
The meeting was informed that small and medium enterprises account for 40 percent of the total GDP of Pakistan.
It was apprised that Loans will be provided to small and medium enterprises under the supervision of State Bank of Pakistan and special attention is being paid to the business related to the information technology sector.
It was also informed that all stakeholders have been consulted in detail so that there is no loopholes in the policy.
