Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced plans to construct modern hotels to enhance tourism in Pakistan. He emphasized that the hosting of international conferences in the country signifies a successful diplomatic endeavor.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister, while chairing a review meeting concerning the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad, praised the CDA's efforts in successfully organizing recent international conferences and events in the federal capital. He remarked that Pakistan has regained the trust of friendly nations through sustained efforts.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the necessity of upgrading hotels, hospitals, and other facilities to accommodate international conferences and events in Pakistan. He noted that providing modern amenities would also boost tourism in the country.
The Prime Minister instructed the CDA to prepare a comprehensive report on constructing new hotels with modern facilities through joint ventures and public-private partnerships. He stressed the importance of offering world-class amenities to visitors from friendly countries.
Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif urged the CDA to improve facilities for Islamabad residents. During the meeting, it was revealed that pre-feasibility reports for the construction of new hotels and the restoration of inactive government buildings have been completed.
