Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly denounced last night's tragic incident in Karachi which resulted in the loss of two Chinese lives and injuring another. In a post on his X handle, he offered heartfelt condolences to the Chinese leadership and the people of China, particularly the families of the victims. Shehbaz Sharif said the perpetrators of this dastardly incident cannot be Pakistanis but are sworn enemies of Pakistan. He said an immediate investigation is underway to identify them and bring them to justice. The Prime Minister said Pakistan stands committed to safeguarding Chinese friends and that no stone will be left unturned to ensure their security and well-being. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has also strongly condemned last night's blast at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. In a statement today, she expressed regret over the loss of three precious human lives in the blast and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.
