Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over approval of seven billion dollars package by the International Monetary Fund for Pakistan. In a statement issued from New York, he thanked the friendly countries particularly Saudi Arabia, China and the United Arab Emirates for extending support regarding the IMF package. The Prime Minister also thanked IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and her entire team. The Prime Minister said by the grace of Allah Almighty, process for implementation of economic reforms is vigorously underway. Shehbaz Sharif said we will continue hard work with the same spirit for achieving target of economic development after economic stability. He said surge in business activities and investment in Pakistan is a good omen and testimony of the hard work of economic team. Shehbaz Sharif said besides securing successes on diplomatic front, increase in remittances of overseas Pakistanis is a reflection of their confidence in the government's policies. He said that if the same hard work continues, this will be country's last IMF program. The Prime Minister thanked the entire government economic team, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervez Malik, Ambassador of Pakistan to China Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of China to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong and Secretary Finance for their efforts and hard work in this regard. Shehbaz Sharif also thanked all the provincial governments, especially Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.
