PM vows to pass inflation reduction benefits to public

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says measures are being taken to pass on the benefits of reduction in inflation to the common man through governance. He was chairing the first meeting of the Economic Advisory Council in Islamabad today. The forum held detailed consultation on the country's economic situation. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said we are working on the mission of providing facilities to the private sector from the first day for the economic development of the country, the provision of employment and the expansion of business and investment. He said due to government policies, the rate of inflation is decreasing in the country. The Prime Minister said the positive trend in the stock market reflects the confidence of the business community and investors in the government policies. He said we will provide more facilities to foreign investors and business community in the upcoming budget. The Prime Minister said we will reduce the tax rate on the common man while the number of ta xpayers will increase. He further said steps are being taken on a priority basis for the digitization of the country's economy. The Prime Minister said to increase the production farmers will be provided with quality seeds and fertilizers. Medium and small scale industries will be promoted to save the agricultural production from being wasted. The Prime Minister directed to resolve all obstacles immediately in obtaining visas for Pakistan for foreign investors and businessmen. Source: Radio Pakistan
