President Dr Arif Alvi has urged all the stakeholders to take steps to educate and impart skills to out of school children in the country.
Addressing at a ceremony titled 'Education Excellence Recognition' arranged by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad on Wednesday, the president said that the number of out of school children in Pakistan is alarming.
Quoting UNISCEF latest report about the out of school children, he said after the recent floods number of out of school children has increased to 27 million.
He said the issue of number of out of school children posed a question mark and everyone should find a quick and out of the box solution.
The president stressed upon adoption of a holistic approach to the realities by accelerating pace of changes to match the rest of the world.
