Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Control Room of Provincial Disaster Management Authority in Lahore today (Monday).
During the visit, he was given briefing by DG, PDMA about precautionary measures to tackle monsoon rainfall situation.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed PDMA to remain vigilant and monitor the water inflow and outflow of rivers according to weather conditions.
He also directed all concerned departments to prepare their contingency plan to tackle unforeseen situations.
He said the Punjab government has started construction of more underground water tanks in Lahore to save rain water and all arrangements to deal with urban flooding will be completed soon.
