Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has vowed to make the province an environment leader at the world level. Under her direction, significant efforts are being made to transform Punjab into a global example of environmental leadership.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Environment Protection Authority has been diligently working on the Carbon Credit program for the past year. This initiative is designed to reduce pollution, enhance foreign currency reserves, and promote green industries within the province. The program aims to encourage tree plantation, the adoption of green technology, and attract foreign investment, thereby positioning Punjab as a pioneer in environmental sustainability.
