Lahore: Punjab Government has decided to introduce the Maryam Nawaz Community Health Services program to improve the health sector in the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, the decision was made during a meeting in Lahore, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The Chief Minister requested a comprehensive plan for community health services and instructed immediate measures to make these services operational.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that forty-seven percent of the population is currently covered by existing health services. The new initiative aims to enhance healthcare accessibility and coverage across Punjab.
