Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced significant developments for Pakistan's broadcasting sector, emphasizing that Pakistan Television (PTV) and Radio Pakistan will soon experience positive transformations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar highlighted the honor of hosting the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Addressing media personnel in Islamabad, he expressed optimism about the resurgence of international sporting events in the country, noting that sports venues in Pakistan had previously been underutilized.

Tarar detailed the recent successes of Pakistan Television, particularly the increased ratings of PTV Sports. He credited this improvement to PTV's strategic decisions, including timely payments for ICC telecast rights, ensuring that all ICC matches will be broadcasted. The minister also mentioned plans to feature a panel of renowned cricket experts, such as Shoaib Akhtar and Shoaib Malik, to enhance the viewing experience on PTV.
