Results for General Elections continue to pour in

Results of general elections held for the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies continue to pour in from across the country. The Election Commission of Pakistan has so far received 250 results of the National Assembly seats while results of 15 seats are yet to be received. Of these unofficial and provisional results, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz won 71 seats, Pakistan Peoples' Party Parliamentarians 52, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan 17, Pakistan Muslim League 3, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan and Istehkam e Pakistan party 2 each, Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Z and Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Pakistan 1 each. 99 independents also emerged victorious on national assembly seats. So far result of the Punjab Assembly is concerned, results for 295 seats have been received while on 1 seat is still awaited. Of these, PML-N secured 130 seats, PPPP 10, Pakistan Muslim League 8, Istehkam e Pakistan party, PML-Z and TLP 1 each while 127 independent candidates ha ve emerged victorious. The commission announced result of all 130 constituencies of the Sindh Assembly of which PPPP won 84, MQM-Pakistan 28, Grand Democratic Alliance and Jamaat-e-Islami 2 seats each while 14 independent candidates emerged victorious. The results of 112 constituencies of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have been received and result of 1 seat is still awaited. Of these, PML-N got 5, JUI-P 7, Jamaat-e-Islami 3 and PPPP 4 seats, ANP 1 and PTI-P secured 2 seats. Independent candidates stood victorious on 90 seats. So far result of 45 Balochistan Assembly seats has been received while result of 6 is awaited. Of these, PML-N remained successful on 9 seats, PPPP on 11 and JUI-P on 8 seats. Awami National Party and National Party emerged victorious on 2 seats each, Balochistan Awami Party got 4, Balochistan National Party, Balochistan National Party (Awami) and Jamaat e Islami won 1 seat each.
