Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has expressed the resolve to provide clean drinking water to every city, town, and village of the province.
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of water filtration plants in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, he said 80 percent ailments come from waterborne diseases. He said polluted water is the major threat to people's health.
The Governor said that all inefficient and redundant water treatment plants across Punjab would also be made operational in next few months. He hoped that provision of clean drinking water to 7.6 million people will be ensured by the end of this year.
Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar every division and district of Punjab would be treated equally when it comes to the provision of clean drinking water.
