Members of the Senate have called for evolving a joint strategy to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the soil of Pakistan. Taking part in the debate on the recent incidents of terrorism in various parts of the country, especially Balochistan, they said a healthy debate on this issue should be held among politicians, intellectuals, and scholars to find a way forward. They said everyone should sit-together for the sake of Pakistan by setting aside political differences. The Senators also called for introspection to overcome shortcomings and weaknesses in the past policies. They, however, said negotiations can only be held with those, who believe in the integrity and the constitution of Pakistan. Those, who spoke on the occasion, include Aimal Wali Khan, Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, Irfan Siddiqui, Sherry Rehman, Manzoor Kakar, Mohsin Aziz, Shahzaib Durrani, Abdul Shakoor Khan, Muhammad Qasim, Nasir Mehmood Butt, Saifullah Abro, and Dr Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur.
