Seven people were killed in two separate road accidents in Pakistan’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in the past 24 hours, the rescue service reported.
Two people were killed early yesterday, when an oil tanker crashed into an electric pole in Talash Banda Gayi area, in Lower Dir district of KP, said the rescue service.
The collision caused an explosion which resulted in the burning of the two people in the tanker, causing their death on the spot, it added.
Separately, five people were killed at midnight Saturday, when a car caught fire in Kala Katha area in Haripur district of the province, the rescue service said, adding that, fire erupted after a tire burst.
Upon receiving the information about both the accidents, rescue workers reached the site and shifted the bodies to local hospitals, according to the rescue service
