Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says promotion of education is the foremost priority of present government. He was talking to a high-level delegation of Google for Education, headed by Managing Director Kevin Kells in Islamabad today. The Prime Minister said the imposition of educational emergency shows the seriousness of the government in the education sector. He said steps are being taken for capacity building of the youth in the country by equipping them with technology. The Prime Minister welcomed Google's decision to set up a Chromebook manufacturing plant in Pakistan. He appreciated the signing of the Letter of Intent between Google for Education and the Federal Ministry of Education for the promotion of education in Pakistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also invited Google for Education to expand the scope of cooperation with the Pakistan. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on Google for Education initiatives to promote education and training in Pakistan. Source: Radio Pakistan
