World Health Organization has announced new initiatives to combat Mpox spread after reports of new cases in Pakistan, Sweden and African countries. World Health Organization had already declared a public health emergency of international concern, to prevent the spread of a new variant of Mpox viral virus. Meanwhile, three confirmed cases of Mpox disease have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a press statement, Director Public Health Dr Irshad Ahmad Roghani said the Health Department is establishing isolation wards for Mpox patients. Source: Radio Pakistan
