World Bank delegation calls on Sindh CM in Karachi

A delegation of World Bank led by its Regional Director John Roome called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House in Karachi on Friday.

According to the spokesperson of Chief Minister House, matters relating to the supply of seeds to the flood affected farmers were reviewed during the meeting besides the matters pertaining to the reconstruction of houses for the flood affected people.

The meeting was informed that the World Bank has allocated 100 million dollars to provide seeds to the farmers while it has also been decided to provide further financial assistance to the farmers holding 12.5 acres of land.

The meeting was also informed that World Bank has promised to give 110 billion rupees for the construction of houses in the flood affected areas.
